McKinley was founding CEO and President of Prototype Studios, a high-end 3D imagery company in the early 1990’s concentrating on product prototyping and visual design analysis. From there, he joined Digimarc Corporation in 1998 to help lead the design, development and implementation of its digital watermarking technology, where he played a key role in its successful IPO in 1999.
Mr. McKinley developed first- and second-generation digital watermarking products. He joined Venture Ad Astra in 2003 as a founding key executive to establish and build Venture Ad Astra’s technology and business unit portfolio. In 2007, Mr. McKinley and Venture Ad Astra established ZuluTime, LLC, to commercialize its timing and navigation technology development. He is a seasoned leader of mission-critical projects both domestic and international in scope with 5 patents in the fields of analytic imagery, digital watermarking, and remote sensing.
