Tristan is a Product Manager at Google studying Design Ethics, that is, how the design and inherent choice architectures of products affect users' behavior and wellbeing.. Previously, Tristan was CEO and founder of Apture, which was acquired by Google in November 2011. Apture enabled users to get instant on-the-fly explanations for any topic without leaving their place, across a footprint of over one billion page views per month on a network of premium publisher websites.
Tristan has won many awards, including Inc. Magazine's "Top 30 under 30" Entrepreneurs of 2009. Tristan was a Mayfield Fellow as part of Stanford's Technology Ventures Program in entrepreneurship, and has spoken at universities and conferences on the topics of design, persuasion, and behavior change. He has a B.S. in Computer Science from Stanford, with a focus in Human-Computer Interaction.
