Previously, Tony managed long-short biotechnology portfolios as Pequot Capital Management and Sands Point Partners, and before that served as a biotechnology analyst at Citigroup Asset Management, a long-only institutional money manager. Before becoming a biotechnology investor, Tony spent his first few years on Wall Street as a large-cap U.S. pharmaceuticals analyst at JP Morgan Securities. Prior to entering the world of finance, Tony trained in medicine and dermatology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania after completing the M.D.-Ph.D. program at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He received a B.S. in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Tony was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Xi and has authored over 20 publications in the medical and scientific literature. Tony is also a director of Stemline, a private biotechnology company.
