Tony Bifano is a Managing Partner at ETF Venture Funds and has been a contributor to the Fund since its inception. Tony has spent over 12 years operating venture capital backed early stage companies and brings a rare combination of operational, strategic, technology and marketing expertise. He works closely with many of ETF’s portfolio companies helping them create strategic plans and deliver tactical execution.
Tony is focused on emerging markets, including mobile technologies, location based services, and virtual world technologies. Tony currently sits on the Board of Directors of ReverbNation, which provides innovative marketing solutions for music artists and listening experiences for fans and has over 250,000 artists and 8,000 labels in its network. Tony also sits on the Board of Directors of MeetMoi, a location-based mobile dating company.
Prior to joining ETF Venture Funds, Tony helped lead the growth of Health Market Science, a healthcare data services company recognized by the INC 500 as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the United States. In 1998, he founded an online personal information manager publishing platform. That company was acquired by Aroundcampus, Inc., which was subsequently acquired by White Directory, a division of the Hearst Corporation.
Bifano was honored by Philly Tech Magazine as a “30 under 30” hottest technology executives in the region and has been featured in Philadelphia Magazine. He has also advised several early stage companies in the Mid-Atlantic region and over the last eight plus years has served on the board of software and media companies, including AroundCampus, Specialty Diets and Boomi.
