Toni’s career in technology began as a software engineer at Crystal River Engineering, and later as the vice president of technology at Aureal Semiconductor, which was acquired by Creative Labs in 2000. He joined the world of start-ups when he co-founded music recommendation site Uplister in early 2000, and then became CEO of OddPost, a pay-for-webmail service that was acquired by Yahoo! in 2004. OddPost formed the basis of the new Yahoo! Mail, which is used by over 250 million people around the world. Schneider then joined Yahoo! as a vice president and created the Yahoo! Developer Network. Schneider went on to later co-found Sphere, a blog content engine, which was acquired by AOL in 2008.

A native of Switzerland, Toni studied computer science at Stanford University. He was voted CEO of the Year at the 2007 Crunchies.
