Tom has spent his career as senior architect and engineering manager in successful ventures, specializing in scalable architectures and mission critical systems. Tom brings 20 years of experience in software system design and development, as well as engineering management. Before joining the company, Tom was the lead architect at Yahoo in charge of designing and developing Yahoo’s mobile advertising systems. He was also a member of Yahoo’s corporate development team. Prior to Yahoo he was CTO and Vice President of Engineering of NASDAQ-traded AvantGo Inc., the leading provider of Enterprise Mobility Solutions to Fortune 1000 companies, where he developed and managed a team of 90 engineers. AvantGo was successfully sold to Sybase, Inc. in 2004. Prior to joining AvantGo, Tom was a co-founder and architect at Diba, an information appliance software company, which was acquired by Sun Microsystems. Before Diba, he worked for seven years at the NASA-Ames Research Center, where he researched Computational Fluid Dynamics visualization and hypersonic aircraft systems. Tom is the author of 9 patents. He holds a B.S. in Physics from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
