“Tom Raftery has been working professionally in IT since 1991. Tom worked for Horizon Computing until 1995 when he set up his own software development company. In 2002, Tom joined Chip eServices as CTO and directed the conversion of their access database into a hosted ERP application with a published web services api.
In 2004 Tom set up Tom Raftery IT, a social media consultancy and Tom consults regularly with companies such as Microsoft, Heineken and O2 on leveraging Web 2.0 technologies.
In 2006 Tom joined with two other Cork-based businessmen and founded CIX Ltd., a company challenged with building Ireland’s most energy efficient data centre.
Tom also works closely with energy demand management startup Synergymodule in an advisory capacity.”
