Tom is co-founder and CEO of TeamRankings. In his career, he has served in product management, product marketing, and general management roles for organizations including Capital One Financial, Icarian (a Kleiner Perkins funded startup), AT&T, and the Stanford Graduate School of Business. While at Icarian, Tom managed a hybrid business/consumer web application named Product of the Year by HR Executive magazine. Prior to Team Rankings, Tom was founder and principal of Bullhorn Group, a marketing consultancy serving small growth organizations. A finalist for the Stanford University Boothe Prize for Excellence in Writing, Tom is also an avid writer, and has authored two business cases on software strategy for Stanford Business School faculty members.
Tom holds a B.S. and M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University, where he was a double-finalist in the prestigious BASES E-Challenge business plan contest. His love of the quantitative side of sports dates back to childhood weekends consumed by the Strat-o-Matic Baseball dice game.
