He is currently Managing Director of Sinica Advisors LLC; a Board Director at STEM Academy; and an Advisor at China Education Network, Inc. He was previously VP of Corporate Development at Apollo Global, Inc, a joint venture between Apollo Group and the Carlyle Group, with responsibility for acquisitions and education investments in China and Asia. Maurer’s professional interests include international education start-ups and applications in educational media and technology.
