Todd Maurer helps clients build, acquire and scale businesses in emerging markets, with a particular focus on Asia. He is currently Managing Partner at of Sinica Advisors LLC; a Board Director at STEM Academy; and an Advisor at China Education Network, Inc. He was previously VP of Corporate Development at Apollo Global, Inc, a joint venture between Apollo Group and the Carlyle Group, with responsibility for acquisitions and education investments in China and Asia. Prior to that he was a Partner with Lotus Asset Management in Hong Kong, and held various investment banking positions at Peregrine Investment Investments Holdings in Hong Kong, Beijing, and Seoul. Todd’s Maurer’s current focus is on international education, media and related technology. He was educated at Columbia University (MIA), UCLA (BA Economics) and Peking and Nanjing Universities, PRC. He speaks and reads Chinese, and conversational Korean and Russian.
