Tobias Peggs is CEO at Aviary - the mobile photo editing company, based in New York City.
Before Aviary, Tobias was CEO of Boulder-based OneRiot. Tobias led OneRiot through its pivot from consumer-facing search engine to socially-targeted mobile advertising platform – ultimately leading to acquisition by Walmart. At Walmart, Tobias was responsible for mobile products in non-US markets - driving the UK from zero to 50% of weekly global mobile revenue inside 12 months.
Prior to OneRiot, Tobias led strategic initiatives at Netdecisions – a UK-based consulting and investment firm. There he incubated and operated several new businesses in the US, UK and India. These spanned e-commerce (Travel), consumer-web (Dating), and enterprise software (Speech Recognition). Before that, he was Managing Editor and Online Editor of i–D Magazine, part of the TimeOut group.
Tobias holds a PhD in Machine Learning from Cardiff University (UK). While studying at Cardiff, he co-founded FineTime – an online entertainment guide. He also holds a First Class Hons Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Loughborough University (UK).
Tobias is a Techstars (Boulder) Mentor, and actively advises several early-stage companies - including Visual Revenue, Local Response, Send Hub, Verbalize.It and Ubooly.
