Tim Houchin is an executive who has helped many early stage and startup technology firms.
He has 20 years of sales/marketing and business development experience with a number of those years spent with early stage and start up companies. Nicknamed “rainmaker†given he is known for jump-starting and building significant revenues for technology and software companies. More recently he has worked with SaaS and Web 2.0 firms. Equally proficient in developing the strategic sales/ marketing and overall business plan for a company, he has strength in positioning a product or service and branding it through the marketing/advertising and PR while delivering presentations to all levels within a company. He has worked closely with several Fortune 500 companies while structuring and closing strategic marketing deals. He has held several key executive positions and have been involved with 3 successful companies that have either gone through the IPO process or were acquired within short periods of time. Most notably, he was on the founding team of DSL.net (DSLN). While working in a garage, he helped build a team, proved the concept and raised sufficient funds to go public. DSL.net went public within eighteen months and grew to 600 employees doing $71 million in annual revenues.
