Tim oversees the integration of Vello technology with industry-standard architecture and equipment for scalability, reliability, and security. Most recently the founder and CEO of L-Tech Corporation, a semiconductor equipment manufacturer, Tim founded two prior start-ups and acquired three other companies over the past two decades. Tim is knowledgeable in devising and implementing a global strategy for the cost-effective protection of intellectual property. He has also served as a co-counsel on a number of patent and copyright infringement cases. Tim received a Master of Science degree in Chemistry and Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and Mathematics emphasizing computer science from DePaul University. He received his law degree from DePaul University in 1980. He is a Panel Chair of the joint venture between the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and Sunnyvale Center for Innovation, Ideas & Invention; president of the World Intellectual Property & Trade Forum; a member of the American Bar Association’s Section on Patent, Trademark and Copyright Law, and a former chairman of the Computer Software Subcommittee.
