Sir Terence Hedley Matthews OBE, FIEE, FREng (born 1943) is a serial high tech entrepreneur, and Wales’ first billionaire.
Matthews has founded over 60 companies in the United Kingdom and Canada in the high tech communications field. His most notable successes so far have been with Mitel (which he sold to British Telecom), and Newbridge Networks which was acquired for seven billion dollars by Alcatel.
