Tarik Kurspahic is co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Personal (www.personal.com), a digital life management platform that gives individuals the tools to build a private, personal network centered on a data vault where they can control access to their personal information and manage their online identity.
Tarik is in charge of the company’s platform architecture, security and operations. He has architected and built tech platforms and websites for the last 15 years.
Before Personal, Tarik was CTO of The Map Network, where he built mapping and content platforms in data-driven location services and advertising that served clients such as the NFL Super Bowl, the NBA, The Smithsonian Institution, more than 100 city governments and tourism bureaus, and thousands of events, venues and local merchants. After The Map Network was acquired by NAVTEQ in 2006, Tarik served as Director of Technology for the company’s Location Content Group. He continued in this role when the company was acquired by cell phone manufacturer Nokia in 2008.
Tarik graduated magna cum laude from Salem State College with a B.S. in Computer Science.
