Before joining Xtranormal, Sylvio was Chief Technology Officer of Tiny Pictures where he was leading the development of infrastructure services as well as core technological directions and innovations.
Prior to joining Tiny Pictures, Sylvio was technology advisor and principal architect for one of the first high-definition sci-fi series on the web (by the creators of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis). Before that, he worked around the world on large-scale projects (Philips Advanced Research Labs, Eicon Technology, Toyota, Fujitsu, Matsushita, Epson, France Telecom) as well as startup companies (MAZ Laboratory, Mettle, Visiocom, Stage3Media, Blipcast) where he was specifically responsible for strategy, innovation, core technology and architectures.
During this time he published hundreds of whitepapers, submitted more than 15 patents and designed sophisticated software in the fields of interactive television, interactive Web video, networking technologies, visual programming tools and advanced user interfaces.
