Lane Hartwell for Wikimedia Foundation
Stuart West serves as Chief Financial Officer of Kno, Inc., a Silicon Valley-based company that is creating a tablet textbook and dynamic learning platform specifically for students. Prior to joining Kno, West served as Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Corporate Development for InfoSpace, Inc. where he was responsible for corporate strategy and M&A activities. Before InfoSpace, West served as a Vice President at Yahoo!. Inc. where he drove business operations across product lines including Yahoo! Mail and Yahoo.com. Prior to Yahoo!, West spent 6 years at TiVo Inc. most recently in the Chief Financial Officer role, where he raised more than $250 million in eight financings including public stock and debt offerings during revenue growth from $4 million to $260 million. West also spent seven years in investment banking at J.P. Morgan & Co.
West currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Wikimedia Foundation, the non-profit that runs Wikipedia. He has also worked with the United States Mission to the United Nations. Stuart has a B.A. in History from Yale University and lives in the San Francisco bay area.
