Steve Rosston has actively invested in private and public companies in the technology and life sciences markets since he joined Glynn Capital Management in 1990. He has backed semiconductor, software, Internet-related communication and infrastructure, medical device, and medical instrumentation companies. Past investments have included Alteon, Arthrocare, Echelon, Edify, Intuit, Pillar Software, Upshot, and Webex. Current private investments include Ambrx, MobiTV, and Perceptive Software.
Prior to Glynn Capital, Steve served as product manager, marketing manager, and group product manager for ROLM, a telecommunications equipment manufacturer. In these capacities he formulated business and product strategy, managed cross-functional development teams, and maximized product line profitability for three different divisions.
Steve earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard University in 1981. After leaving Harvard, he received MBA and J.D. degrees from Stanford University in 1986. While studying at Stanford, he evaluated new business ventures for CooperVision, Inc. and provided legal and business advice to small businesses while working for Blase, Valentine & Klein.
