Steve Rishel joined AVST in June 2007. From 2003 to 2007, Mr. Rishel was Senior Vice President — Core Technologies Group for SAFLINK Corporation, a publicly traded biometric security software firm, where he led SAFLINK’s federal sales, sales engineering, technical support, and information technology departments. From 2002 to 2003, Mr. Rishel ran Paragon Operations Partnership, offering consulting services to technology companies in the areas of support operations, supply chain management, and order fulfillment. From 1991 to 2002, Mr. Rishel worked for Captaris, Inc. (formerly “Applied Voice Technology” and “AVT”), a publicly traded unified communications, fax and fax services, and wireless communications integrator where, in his most recent position as Senior Vice President of Operations, Mr. Rishel responsibilities included strategic planning for, and executive management of, customer support, supply chain, systems integration, and information systems. From 1990 to 1991, Mr. Rishel served as Operations Manager for PacTel Meridian Business Systems. Prior to PacTel, Mr. Rishel held positions of increasing responsibility with Teleconnect, Inc., Honeywell Communication Services, and United Technologies Communications.
