Steve Maher is the Chief Technology Officer of Syncbak, a company that has built a platform delivering broadcast content over the internet. Maher came to Syncbak from Rockwell Collins where he most recently served as Enterprise Architect. Prior to moving back to the area from the Silicon Valley, Maher worked for technology innovator 2Wire as Vice President of Engineering.
Over the course of his 24-year career in engineering, Maher has designed and deployed both large complex systems as well as high volume consumer products. His experience base includes telecom products, avionics, verified computing platforms, multiprocessing architectures and high speed networking technologies. At 2Wire, Maher recruited and maintained world class engineering teams in industrial, mechanical, electrical, and software design. During his tenure product revenue grew from $40 million per year to over $500 million per year while product standard cost was reduced by 80%.
Maher earned a BS in Mathematics from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and a MBA from the University of Iowa. He also holds several patents. Maher is actively leading Syncbak’s engineering team and is responsible for design and development of the company’s core technology products.
