Steve Maggs has a long track record of innovation and success in various areas of information technology. In 1981, following seven years as a practicing CPA, Steve entered the computer industry as a consultant, implementing personal computer-based technology in the business workplace. His career included executive positions with Inacomp Computer Centers and ownership of Mericom Systems, a large regional value added reseller that he sold to AmeriData Technologies. Steve served AmeriData for two years as Senior VP of Operations, and Chairman of AmeriData Canada, assisting the company in acquiring more than 20 companies in seven countries. AmeriData became GE IT Solutions in 1996.
Throughout his computer career, Steve assisted computer manufacturers by serving on numerous dealer advisory councils including those of IBM, Compaq, Toshiba and NEC.
In 1996 Steve co-founded Interliant, a leading webhosting and application service provider, pioneering once again in a new era of information technology. Subsequently he has continued his entrepreneurial passion as a business owner, investor or advisor of many successful companies including, Telephonetics Inc, IP Merchant Solutions, LLC, Verity Professionals, Inc. and Channelforce, Inc.
