Steve Lebow

Steve is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of GRP Partners. Prior to GRP Partners, Steve spent 21 years at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in a variety of positions, most recently as Chairman of Global Retail Partners, and as Managing Director and head of the Retail Group within the Investment Banking Division. Since 1983, he has been an active private equity investor through DLJ’s Merchant Banking Group. In 1986, Steve opened DLJ’s Los Angeles investment banking office and played a key role in building the largest U.S. satellite office of any investment bank.

Steve graduated from UCLA with a BA in Political Science and Economics, and received an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

In our current portfolio, Steve sits on the Boards of EnvestNet Asset Management and Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance. Previously, Steve has held Board seats and observer status for several private and public companies, including Aventail (acquired by SonicWALL (NASDAQ: SNWL), Caribou Coffee (acquired by a financial buyer), Dick’s Sporting Goods (NASDAQ: DKS), Egghead Software (Amazon), i4Commerce (Bill Me Later acquired by eBay Inc. (NASDAQ: EBAY) and PetSmart (NASDAQ: PETM).
