Throughout his career, Mr. Barnes has been involved in hundreds of real estate transactions, from all angles—brokerage, mortgage and settlement. In 2003, Mr. Barnes founded Flex Funding, a Washington, D.C.-based mortgage company operating throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Mr. Barnes was the co-founder of ClosingQuotes.com, the first online marketplace for real estate closings in the United States. He served as Managing Director for Veris Consulting, overseeing the company’s commercial real estate operations. Early in his career, Mr. Barnes served as a settlement attorney in Washington, D.C.
He received both his law degree and undergraduate degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and is a member of the Maryland Bar.
