Stephen is a serial internet entrepreneur with 17 years in the San Francisco Bay Area, Beijing, and Hong Kong. Prior to alive.cn, he was a co-founder and and served as Chief Technology Officer for alivenotdead.com, an online community aiming to connect and support artists worldwide. In addition to his roles for alive.cn and alivenotdead.com, Stephen helps manage and created the official web sites for top tier China celebrities Jackie Chan, Karen Mok, and Jet Li.
Stephen served as Chief Operating Officer for XMFish.com, a leading online community based in Xiamen, Fujian, China. Prior to moving to China, Stephen co-founded Rotten Tomatoes, the premier website for film reviews, and served for its first five years as Chief Technology Officer. He then served as Vice-President and Publisher of Rotten Tomatoes following its acquisition by IGN Entertainment and Fox Interactive Media, the interactive arm of News Corporation.
Stephen previously co-founded Design Reactor, a leading entertainment website and games developer, where he served as Technical Director and client manager for top brands including The Walt Disney Company, Disney/ABC Television, and Match.com. He holds a B.A. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
