Stephan Uhrenbacher is a serial entrepreneur based in Hamburg, Germany. Stephan founded Qype, Europe’s largest local review website (market leader in Germany, France and UK). In the late 90s Uhrenbacher established the travel portal TravelChannel for Bertelsmann, afterwards he was Head Northern European Markets at Lastminute.com, before becoming responsible for Germany’s largest newspaper website Bild.de. Between 2003 and 2004 was as COO part of a team that lead the mail order pharmacy DocMorris through an strong growth period.
In 2009 Stephan announced he was planning to help build several startups, at the intersection of sustainability and end consumer internet. The first one, where he is executive chairman, is the marketplace for eco friendly products, avocadostore. In May 2010 Stephan Uhrenbacher went back to Qype to oversee product strategy.
