Stefano Pessina

Stefano Pessina has been Executive Chairman of Alliance Boots since July 2007 (previously Executive Deputy Chairman).

Alliance Boots is a leading international, pharmacy-led health and beauty group employing over 115,500 staff and operating more than 3,280 retail stores, around 3,180 of these have pharmacies.

Prior to the creation of Alliance Boots from the merger of Alliance UniChem and Boots Group he was Executive Deputy Chairman (previously Chief Executive) of Alliance UniChem.

Stefano was appointed to the Alliance UniChem Board in 1997 when UniChem merged with Alliance Santé

Stefano established the Franco-Italian pharmaceutical wholesale group Alliance Santé in Italy in 1977.
