United Maps ‘maps on a human scale’
Stefan Knecht has 10+ years experience in R&D, Media and Product Development, Consulting, Management and software-related technology areas.
He founded United Maps GmbH together with two experienced industry experts in 2008. His role as a CIO spans Product and Business Development, design of cartographic applications, effective and efficient workflow management, and presenting United Maps’ solutions in public.
Prior to founding United Maps, Knecht was sales director at Knallgrau, an Austrian agency for social communities. He also served as a program manager and consultant for the media division of Sapient, lead the first successful youth community with Sueddeutscher Verlag in Munich, and in addition to other positions, was assistant to the board of Verlagsgruppe Georg von Holtzbrinck for international new media strategies and development projects.
