Stan Reiss is a general partner at Matrix Partners and has worked as a venture capitalist for more than a decade. He focuses on components, systems, complex software, and Health IT. His investments include Acacia Communications, which is building a 100G optical subsystem; QPID Health, electronic health record analytics software; Qualtre, a startup developing novel MEMS-based inertial sensors; and Xtalic, a nanostructured metal alloy and coating company. Stan obtained a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University, Master’s degrees in electrical engineering and operations research from MIT, and an MBA from Harvard. Prior to joining Matrix he worked in McKinsey’s electronics practice.
