Stan P. van de Burgt co-founded WatchMouse in 2002, and since 2003 serves as Chief Executive Officer overseeing architecture, technical design, strategy and business development. Prior to co-founding WatchMouse, he co-founded and served as Chief Technology Officer for Q-go, a specialized website search company that uses semantic language technology, where he was responsible for overseeing the architecture, R&D, technical strategy implementation and product development.
Van de Burgt began his career at KPN Research in 1987 where he was instrumental in launching KPN’s Internet Expertise Center and played an influential role in KPN Telecommerce. While at KPN, he managed the architecture and RFP projects of “Het Net” (KPN’s Internet and email portal), where he was involved in a number of acquisition projects and was responsible for integrating a variety of products and services including VeriSign into the KPN Telecom portfolio.
Van de Burgt serves as a member of Q-go’s advisory board and advises a number of globally recognized brands such as ING/Postbank and KPN regarding product development, technical due diligence, as well as online design and implementation strategy.
Van de Burgt received his Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Twente in The Netherlands.
