In 2007, the OpenID Foundation appointed Snorri Giorgetti as the European Representative because of all of his hard work organizing and evangelizing in Europe.
In June 2007, Snorri founded the OpenID Europe counterpart to promote and develop OpenID in Europe.
In July 2008, Snorri had launched the OpenID’09 Program to assist the OpenID Foundation in bringing OpenID into a much more active development phase in 2009.
