Sloane Berrent serves as Director of Business Development at Causecast. In this capacity, Sloan is tasked with the responsibility of expanding the organization’s robust base of leaders and non-profit partners. With an significant experience in the non-profit and cause marketing sectors, Sloan’s expertise solidifies the role of Causecast as the premier source for all things cause-related.
Having previously served as the Development Officer for the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation, Sloane was integral in devising successful strategies for fundraising programs nationwide, including the creation and implementation of an annual giving program, continuation of direct mail program and targeted appeals for mid-level donors. As the primary fundraiser for the organization’s annual gala, Sloane raised $1.2 million through securing sponsorships from existing corporate partners as well as establishing new relationships.
Prior to joining Causecast, Sloane founded Answer With Action, a boutique nonprofit consulting firm focusing on fundraising strategies for small-to-medium sized nonprofits.
The organization helped to create volunteer and giving opportunities for individuals, groups and businesses. In addition, Answer with Action boutique events around the city created volunteer and networking opportunities for socially conscious young professionals.
From 2005 to 2006, Sloane served as the Development and Foundation Relations Coordinator for The Archer School for Girls in Los Angeles. During this time, she collaborated with the Director of Development on cultivation of donors for major fundraising programs including their annual giving gala, golf tournament, special open houses and on-campus events.
