Investors in the company include Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ), DFJ Gotham Ventures, DFJ New England, Investor Growth Capital, Updata Partners and VantagePoint Capital Partners.

Prior to PulsePoint, Sloan was Chief Executive Officer of Dotmenu which he exited successfully for $48M when the company was sold to Grubhub.com. Dotmenu was the world’s largest network of restaurant content and online ordering, connecting hungry customers with restaurants everywhere. Through flagship sites Allmenus and Campusfood, Dotmenu drives audience and food sales for the biggest network of independent restaurants in the United States. With 250,000 restaurant menus, Allmenus is the single largest provider of restaurant content and information in the United States. Campusfood is the local ecommerce restaurant solution on 390 college campuses, making it the broadest-reaching college food network.

Prior to joining Dotmenu, Sloan was General Manager for the Web Content Group (AKA MIVA) at Adknowledge when he took over the group after leading the sale of group from MIVA to Adknowledge. Prior to this position, Sloan was SVP/GM, Global Strategy/Consumer Entertainment for MIVA Inc. where he is a member of the senior management team of $165M global digital media company. Sloan spearheads corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions and leading a new division tasked with executing on the company’s new strategy of owning its own primary traffic sources through toolbars, widgets, applications and user generated content sites including . Sloan formerly served as VP of Corporate Development, Call Marketing Solutions and Private Label solutions and Director of Corporate Development and Strategic Alliances from Feb 2004 to Dec 2006.

With 10 years of Internet experience, Sloan has executive general management expertise in the global online marketing, domain name, content and e-commerce areas. Before joining MIVA, Sloan was COO of RegistryPro, Inc., a subsidiary of Register.com. Prior positions include Director of Business Development at Register.com and VP of Internet Initiatives and Associate General Counsel at TurboChef Technologies where he was responsible for structuring global strategic alliances and joint ventures.

An alumnus of Clark University, he graduated cum laude from the Syracuse University College of Law in 1995 where he was Executive Editor of the Law Review and an Irwin Brodsky Securities Scholarship recipient.
