Skip Battle is a Senior Fellow of the Aspen Institute as well as a long time Institute Moderator. Skip was previously Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors at Ask Jeeves, which was acquired by IAC/InterActiveCorp in July 2005.
Prior to that, Skip was Chief Executive Officer of the company from 2000 to 2003. From 1968 until his
retirement in 1995, Skip served in management roles at Arthur Andersen LLP and then Andersen Consulting LLP (now Accenture), where he became Worldwide Managing Partner of Market Development and a Member of the firm's Executive Committee.
Skip currently serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at FICO and is a former Member of the Board of Directors at OpenTable, Netflix, LinkedIn, Workday and Expedia, Inc.Skip was previously a Member of the Board of Directors at the Masters Select Family of Mutual Funds, PeopleSoft, Advent Software and Barra, Inc.Skip is also a grape farmer in the Alexander Valley of Sonoma County, California.
Skip received a B.A. degree with highest distinction in Economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA in Finance from Stanford Business School, where he held McCarthy and University Fellowships and has lectured at Stanford Business School, University of California-Berkeley Business School and the American University.
