Simon is an audiovisual engineer with a keen business acumen. He has started several businesses in the past ten years, all in the area of digital media (mainly video) and picked up a couple of awards along the way.
In 2004 Simon won the Dublin Chamber of Commerce David Manley Award for Entrepreneurship for his studio business Moving Media - Digital Video Labs. (www.movingmedia.tv)
More recently MetaLabs.tv, a video analytics service company he founded in partnership with Clarity - Centre for Web Sensor Technologies, won the 2010 Digital Media Award for Best Start-Up with International Potential.
Simon is immersed in the area of online video and understands why it is a game changer for traditional broadcast, advertising and production businesses.
Though his business he seeks to engage with companies who are seeking to bridge the faultline between traditional linear broadcast and the emerging non-linear on-demand audience. He seeks to add value through the provision of innovative services that enable HQ online video delivery and targeted in-stream video advertising.
Simon holds a Masters Degree in International Business from Trinity College, Dublin.
