Siddharth Anand

I’m a technologist/software architect with deep experience designing and scaling high-traffic web sites. Currently, I’m a senior member of LinkedIn’s Distributed Data Systems team, where I build terrabyte-scale storage to handle near-real-time updates and complex queries, leveraging a mix of NoSQL, Hadoop, & search.

Prior to joining LinkedIn, I served as Netflix’s Cloud Database Architect, Etsy’s VP of Engineering, a search engineer and researcher at eBay, and a performance engineer at Siebel Systems. I graduated from Cornell University with my BS and M.Eng degrees. My graduate work focused on Distributed Computing – I built systems and primitives using vector clocks, causal delivery, causal atomic broadcast, etc…
