Shel Israel (born 1944) is a writer, consultant and keynote speaker, very often on topics related to social media. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. He co-authored with Robert Scoble the book Naked Conversations, How Blogs are Changing the Way Businesses Talk with Customers (John Wiley & Son 2006) and is author of Twitterville: How Business Can Thrive in the New Global Neighborhoods (Portfolio, 2009) as well as Stellar Presentations: An Entrepreneur's Guide to Giving Great Talks. He writes online columns for Forbes.com and American Express Open Forum. He is formerly the host of Global Neighbourhoods TV with Shel Israel, an online video blog series produced by FastCompany.tv. He has extensive freelance writing credentials and has been consulting technology companies on communications issues for more than 30 years.
