Shawn Kemp

As a fourth generation entrepreneur Shawn has the passion for creativity and a drive for results baked into his DNA. He is the co-founder of ShareZen a new SaaS startup focused on making sharing things owned by groups easier and The BIG Idea Lab a local technology accelerator located in Bellingham, WA.

With nearly 20 years spent developing online experiences he is perhaps best known for his work in launching the global experience before moving on to manage a number of other strategic online projects at as a group manager for such products as Dynamics, Internet Explorer 7, UMPC, and Windows Vista; In addition to shaping the online relationship marketing approach and systems for engaging business audiences across the entire marketing discipline at Microsoft.

Shawn has spent the two years leading up to 2010 bringing much of that knowledge to bear in the non-profit space teaching organizations how to engage and build power through integrated engagement strategies. He is also an active angel investor and advisor in early stage companies through the Oregon Angel Fund, WUTIF, Bellingham Angels, Green Angel Energy, and occasional attendee at the Seattle Alliance of Angels. He currently serves on the board of a The Playful World a fair trade toy company, Sustainable Connections the nation’s leading non-profit sustainable business connector, and the Technology Alliance Group.
