Shadi Al-Said is Engineering Director and Head of Yahoo! Middle East, leading Yahoo!'s engineering operations in the Middle East and North Africa (Technology development, engineering, research and development, and ensuring the quality of products and service delivery). Previously, he was Engineering Manager of the Maktoob.com, the worldâ€™s leading Arabic-language Web portal and online community.
With over 9 years of professional experience in software development and online media, Shadi has specialized in scalable web applications, frontend optimization, SDLC/Processes, SEO, PPC, online/email marketing, ecommerce, workflow and e-government.
Before joining Maktoob, Shadi lead the development of a payment system for RS2 group, e-government solutions in Jordan and online portals. Shadi holds a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from University of Jordan
