Scott Varland is Co-founder & CEO of Socialbomb, Inc., a social technology company born and raised in New York City. Socialbomb’s platform connects blu-ray players, mobile phones, and other connected devices to online social networks.
Scott received his Master’s Degree in Interactive Telecommunications from NYU (ITP), after completing research into game design, social networking, physical computing, and human computer interaction. Prior to that, he served as Technology Director for GTCR Golder Rauner, LLC, a private equity firm managing more than $8 billion in equity and mezzanine capital, and on the Board of Directors for Dog & Pony Theatre Comapny, in Chicago. He received his BFA from the Experimental Theatre Wing (ETW) at NYU, in 2000.
