Steelpoint Capital
Scott Tierney is a General Partner at Steelpoint Capital Partners, and has a diverse background as a hands-on operator leading growth stage companies and as a former investment banker working with clients on corporate defining transactions including IPOs, buyouts, mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Steelpoint, Scott was President of Archimedes Technology Group, a nuclear waste remediation company which was sold to General Atomics. Scott was also a founding executive and the Head of Investment Banking for Epoch Partners, a boutique technology investment bank which was sold to Goldman Sachs in 2001.
Before launching Epoch Partners, Scott worked for nine years at Morgan Stanley & Company in the Investment Banking Division in San Francisco and New York.
Scott holds an A.B. in Social Studies (Political Economics & Philosophy) from Harvard College (magna cum laude) and an M.B.A. from the Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley, where he was a Haas Fellow.
