Scott is an entrepreneur and experienced technology professional, now founder and CEO of Run of One, an early stage startup focused on mass custom products and manufacturing. Run of One operates the Happy Toy Machine website (http://happytoymachine.com/), which allows users to create their own custom toys online.
Scott received his English degree from Duke University and then spent some time working in the music industry in Hollywood. He then went back to school at the University of Texas, receiving his MS in Electrical Engineering in 1998. Before starting work as an engineer, Scott co-wrote, produced, edited, and scored a full-length independent feature film, "Someone to Walk Over Me". Scott worked as an optoelectronic design engineer for AMP and then Tyco, where he designed high-speed ultra-longhaul linecards for undersea optical communications systems. He then joined Intel, where he worked for several years in a variety of technical marketing, product marketing, and strategic marketing positions, and helped build Intel's Optical Products group into a >$100M business. After leaving Intel Scott founded Run of One, an early stage startup focused on mass custom products and manufacturing, and where Scott is currently the CEO.
