Dr. Scott Koenig has been President and Chief Executive Officer of MacroGenics since September 2001. Prior to joining MacroGenics, he served as Senior Vice President of Research at MedImmune, Inc., where he participated in the selection and maturation of the company’s product pipeline for 11 years. From 1984 to 1990, he worked in the Laboratory of Immunoregulation at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) at the National Institutes of Health, where he investigated the immune response to retroviruses and studied the pathogenesis of AIDS.
Currently, he is Chairman of the Board of Directors at Applied Genetic Therapy Corporation, and serves as a Board member of MacroGenics, BIO, Children’s Research Institute of Children’s National Medical Center, the AERAS Clinical and Epidemiological Technical Advisory Board, and the Cornell University Council.
