Scott DePasquale is an entrepreneur with 20 years of experience in the global energy industry, ranging from the development of renewable technologies to investments in infrastructure and upstream oil and gas. He currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Utilidata, Inc., and is also a partner at New York based energy venture capital fund, Braemar
Energy Ventures—where he serves on the firm’s investment committee.
Prior to his role as a venture capitalist at Braemar, DePasquale was a senior vice president at GE Energy Financial Services, where he led the group’s Boston-based energy-tech activities. In this capacity, DePasquale worked closely with scientists and engineers across GE’s corporate R&D center, as well as executives from various internal businesses, to identify and commercialize game-changing energy technologies.
Before joining General Electric, DePasquale spent several years managing analytics and dispute resolution for an energy security think tank, working closely with several multinational energy concerns, national oil companies, and government to resolve issues related to trade and risk. DePasquale’s career has focused on managing change elements related to commodity, equity, policy, and technology development for some of the world’s largest users, suppliers, and financiers of energy.
DePasquale currently serves on the board of several emerging growth energy technology companies as well as the New England Clean Energy Council. He also serves on the United Technologies Innovation Business Development Advisory Council. DePasquale holds a Master of Arts in International Relations and Affairs from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, a Master of Science in Finance from Suffolk University, and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant University.
