An accomplished marketing and branding executive, Scott manages the company’s growth and strategic marketing strategy including the crafting of Surf Air’s members’ experience.
Scott brings significant entrepreneurial leadership, branding and marketing experience to Surf Air having been instrumental in the success of public and private ventures. Before joining Surf Air, Scott founded RETROPlay LLC, created its award-winning game, Reverse Charades, secured national press coverage on NBC’s Today Show and Radio Disney and increased sales tenfold in one year. Scott also worked as the administrator, owner and CEO of Aspen Home Health & Rehab in Los Angeles and Orange Counties and as an executive advisor to Fortune 500 leadership teams in the U.S., Europe and Latin America with the DC-based Corporate Executive Board. Prior to his work at CEB, he was a licensed administrator operating successful and reputable skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities in Southern California—directly responsible for operations, resident care, re-branding and marketing efforts, 230 employees, and $14.1M in annual revenue.
Scott has spearheaded marketing and branding efforts as an agency media director at a start-up high tech PR agency, as marketing director at a translation company, and as marketing director at various service and non-profit organizations. A concerned corporate citizen, Scott helped found and currently serves as the co-executive director of Singular Humanitarian Experience (SHe), a non-profit which coordinates service opportunities for sustainable international humanitarian development projects. Scott holds a B.A. in Public Relations, an M.B.A. from Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Management—where we was recognized as the Outstanding Graduate Student of the Year—and an M.A. in Spanish from California State University, Sacramento.
