Satya P. Mallick, Ph.D. V.P Technology and Founder of Photometria, is an expert in computational photography, a branch of computer vision that computationally escapes the limitations of traditional cameras. His research focus has been on face enhancement, modeling, and animation. His cryo-Electron Microscopy software, now used by labs around the world, represents a technological breakthrough that has allowed researchers to dramatically improve the resolutions of protein reconstruction. He has worked at Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company (2000), The Scripps Research Institute (2004-2005), and Kriegman-Belhumeur Vision Technologies, LLC (2006). Mallick received his Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 2001 and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of California, San Diego.
