Sandhya is a Founding Partner of Centerview Capital Technology. She invests in “customer-centric” companies that combine both technology differentiation and business model innovation to solve real world problems.
Sandhya brings over 15 years of operational and investment experience and has a passion for building, investing in and growing new businesses. Prior to Centerview, Sandhya was VP/GM and Head of Advertising and Monetization for Skype, which included responsibility for overall strategy, product, marketing, business operations, business development and sales. Sandhya’s big challenge was to monetize the enormous free user base of Skype, one of the best loved consumer brands and services in the world. Prior to Skype, Sandhya was Director, Corporate Development at Cisco, heading strategy, acquisitions and private equity investments for Collaboration, SaaS, Mobile and Emerging Technologies. She helped triple Cisco’s Enterprise Collaboration business through notable multi-billion dollar acquisitions like Tandberg and Webex. She also led and managed Cisco’s investments in Vocera (Nasdaq: VCRA), RingCentral (NYSE: RNG), Traverse (acquired by Avaya) and Plaxo (acquired by Comcast) and Xobni (acquired by Yahoo).
Prior to Cisco, Sandhya was one of the early business executives at Andiamo Systems, a leading datacenter networking startup. Andiamo Systems was acquired by Cisco in 2004 for $750 million, and its product family has achieved over a billion dollar annual revenue run rate.
Sandhya holds an M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and an A.B. in Economics magna cum laude from Harvard University.
