Sam Wurzel is a co-founder of Octopart Inc. He left the physics PhD program at the University of Colorado at Boulder to work on Octopart in 2006.
As a graduate student Sam worked on the development of a plasma confinement scheme that one day might used in a commercial nuclear fusion reactor. Sam continues to be interested in physics in general and in energy research in particular.
As Octopart’s CEO, Sam is manages relationships with electronics distributors and manufacturers. He also handles the systems that keep updated data flowing through the Octopart database and sends out Octopart tee shirts to fans.
