Sam is a problem solver and likes to dabble in lots of different things.
During his final year at university, Sam founded TechMeetup in Edinburgh which has brought together the largest community of tech enthusiasts and is now running in Glasgow and soon Aberdeen and maybe London.
He graduated from the University of Edinburgh in June 2009 with a MEng in Civil Engineering. He was awarded UK Graduate of the Year 2009 by the Institute of Fire Engineering along with his thesis partner for full-scale fire tests conducted in Peru on the flammability of oxygen enriched hotels at high altitude.
Sam joined Loc8 Solutions in April 2009 as Commercial Director for the company which develops innovative mobile applications with a specific focus on location based applications. Loc8 Solutions were finalists in Seedcamp London 2009.
Sam left Loc8 Solutions in September 2009 to find a big challenge in the world to solve using simple technology. He can be found in most coffee shops scribbling illegibly on bits of paper.
