Saed Nashef is Founding Partner at Sadara Ventures, the first early-stage venture capital firm in Palestine investing in Internet, mobile, and software startups. He currently serves on the boards of Yamsafer and Souktel.
As an entrepreneur, Saed founded and was managing director of Equiom-MENA (now IConnectTech), a company based in Ramallah, Palestine; that delivered software-outsourcing services to clients in US and European markets. He also co-founded and was previously CTO of Equiom, Inc., a software consultancy and incubation firm, with operations in Washington and Colorado.
Prior to Equiom, Saed lead a team of software engineers at Fidesic, a Seattle-based, venture-backed Internet startup launched in 2000 to provide B2B electronic invoice presentment and payment services. Before that, he spent six years at Microsoft in various software engineering and leadership roles.
Saed regularly participates on selection committees and panels at various entrepreneurship events across Palestine, including Imagine Cup, Startup Weekend, Hi-Tech Hub, and Leaders Demo Day.
In June 2010, Saed served as a member of the U.S. Presidential Delegation to the Palestine Investment Conference in Bethlehem. He was also a Palestinian delegate to the U.S. Presidential Summit on Entrepreneurship held in April 2010 in Washington, DC.
In July 2011, Saed graduated from the Kauffman Fellows Program as the first Kauffman Fellow in the Arab Middle East, and was awarded the Class 14 Jeff Timmons Memorial Award for service.
