Ryan is the co-founder and chief product officer of about.me, the platform for representing personal identity online. He has worked as an interaction and user experience designer for the last 15 years. In co-founding about.me, he made the leap to the role of full-time entrepreneur and product designer. Prior to about.me, Ryan was a principal at Second Verse, an independent design and strategy consultancy for web products. He has held roles at Adaptive Path, Sapient and Interval Logic.

Ryan is an adviser and investor in small companies that focus on building the best possible human experiences, including Branch, Sprint.ly, Editorially and Blue Bottle Coffee. He has a BS in Cognitive Science from UC San Diego and a culinary degree from the California Culinary Academy, which he put to use as a line cook under Chefs Michael Mina and Laurent Manrique. He is also the father of a two-year-old boy, long distance runner, southern living enthusiast and proud San Franciscan.
