Roy Ng is Senior Vice President and Head of Cloud Strategy & Transformation at SAP.
Roy joined SAP in 2012, through the acquisition of SuccessFactors. Roy led the formulation of SuccessFactors' strategy and partnered with senior leadership to execute on priority initiatives. In this capacity, Roy drove the company’s first two acquisitions and contributed to the company’s growth from $150 million in revenue with 670 employees in 2009, to $330 million revenue with 1,600 employees in 2011. Roy also led post-merger integration to combine SuccessFactors and SAP’s On Demand businesses to create a 4,000+ employee Cloud Business Unit within SAP.
Roy joined SuccessFactors from Goldman Sachs, where he was Vice President and Head of West Coast Software Investment Banking. He led the firm’s rapidly growing SaaS business and completed over US$23 billion of M&A and financing transactions for companies in the technology, media and telecommunications industries.
Roy graduated from the University of California at Berkeley, with dual degrees in Business Administration and Political Science. He is a member of the board of Junior Achievement of Northern California, member of the Dean's Advisory Circle at the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley, and an angel investor and board adviser to several early-stage technology companies. Roy is fluent in Cantonese and conversational in Mandarin.
